Male, Maldives, June 4, 2025: Mohamed Abdul Sattar has been re-elected President of the Maldives Olympic Committee for the term 2025-2029 following an uncontested election held during the Extraordinary General Assembly on Monday, June 2.
The Assembly was attended by representatives from 14 member associations. The Badminton Association of Maldives did not participate due to its current suspension from the Badminton World Federation, while the Football Association of Maldives participated as an observer.
The Athletes’ Commission was also represented through its designated athlete delegate.
As the sole candidate for the presidency, Sattar was elected without opposition, marking the beginning of his second term as President of the Maldives Olympic Committee.
Meanwhile Ahmed Ismail and Ahmed Munthaqim were elected as Vice Presidents of the MOC.
