Tashkent, Uzbekistan, June 3, 2025: The fourth overseas Fun Run for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Wednesday, June 4 with more than 250 participants involved.
At the press conference to announce details of the Fun Run on Tuesday’s, June 3, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, Olympic Council of Asia, and representatives from the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games revealed the Tashkent Fun Run will attract both local and international participants.
They will include local school children as well as delegates from 15 National Olympic Committees who are attending a digital communications and social media seminar.
Uzbekistan NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov said: “After Hangzhou Asian Games and Paris Olympic Games, 2026 Asian Games would be our next major sports event to prepare, Uzbekistan NOC has created our strategy to host different training camp, enhance medical supports for our athletes. we also strength our financial support. Tomorrow’s fun run will be held in Tashkent City Park at 08:00 in the morning. and thanks OCA and AINAGOC’s trust and support to let us host the fun run.”
The Director of Media and PR, Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee, Kanaizuka Fumihito, added: “On behalf of the Organizing Committee for the 20th Asian Games, it is my honor to welcome you to Aichi-Nagoya.”
“Japan eagerly anticipates hosting the Asian Games for the third time, following Tokyo 1958 and Hiroshima 1994. We assure you that Aichi-Nagoya 2026 will be a triumphant and unforgettable event.”
“The Host City is working diligently to provide the best environment for athletes, officials, and spectators – with excitement growing daily. We anticipate 15,000 athletes and officials from 45 National Olympic Committees across Asia to participate in the 20th Asian Games. We encourage you to support your national teams with enthusiasm.”
The Tashkent Fun Run is the fourth overseas Asian Games for All event held this year, following Bhutan, Tajikistan and Brunei.

The OCA is happy with the preparations for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, and we are confident of an excellent and successful Games next year,” said Jeans Zhou Jian, OCA Director of Media and Broadcast.
The Japan showpiece will be held from September 19 to October 4, 2026.
Meanwhile the V Regional Seminar on Digital Communications and Social Media got underway on Tuesday in Tashkent with representatives from the Association of National Olympic Committees, the OCA, AINAGOC and media representatives from 15 NOCs attending.
