Baghdad, Iraq, May 29, 2025: The President of the National Olympic Committee of Iraq, Dr. Aqeel Muften, received Mrs. Nancy Hind, a member of the Jordanian Taekwondo Federation and an executive member of both the Asian and Arab Taekwondo Federations, at the NOC headquarters on Wednesday, May 28.
Welcoming Mrs. Hind, the Iraq NOC President praised the fraternal ties that exist between Iraq and Jordan, and discussed ways to promote mutual cooperation in taekwondo.
Dr. Muften noted that Iraq had promising athletes in taekwondo and called for support from the Arab and Asian Taekwondo Federations to develop this talent.
Mrs. Hind, in turn, expressed her happiness to visit Iraq, and commended the remarkable development of taekwondo in the country.
Also present at the meeting was executive member of the NOC Mahmoud Abbas, NOC Secretary General Haitham Abdul Hamid, NOC Finance Secretary Sarmad Abdullilah, and media advisor to the NOC President, Jaafar Al-Alouji.
