Astana, Kazakhstan, May 27, 2025: The National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan in collaboration with the Ministry of Education held a lecture last Friday, May 23, for physical education teachers as part of Olympic Day 2025 celebrations.

The event was supported by the National Scientific and Practical Centre for Physical Education.

Participants received in-depth insights into the history of the Olympic Movement, its current structure and the various areas of activity undertaken by the Kazakhstan NOC.

The lecture also highlighted the NOC’s educational initiatives, including seminars, professional development courses and awareness programmes designed for specialists in the field of physical education.

“Instilling Olympic values in the younger generation is one of our top priorities. Teachers play a vital role in this process. They are the ones who shape children’s attitudes toward sport, fair play, respect and the pursuit of self-improvement,” said Bektur Kiyatbay, Director of the NOC’s Sports Department.

This lecture followed a series of Olympic lessons held previously in Astana and Almaty which featured prominent Kazakhstan athletes as guest speakers.
