Manama, Bahrain, May 25, 2025: HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, received Witold Banka, President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), at the BOC headquarters on Monday, May 19.
Shaikh Isa conveyed the greetings of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and praised WADA for its efforts in combating steroids and promoting integrity and justice in sport globally.
The BOC Vice President stressed the NOC’s close cooperation with WADA and full adherence to international standards and regulations in the fight against drugs in sports.
On his part, the WADA chief commended the significant role the Kingdom of Bahrain plays in supporting the anti-doping effort, and its keenness on developing the legislative and organisational structure to ensure clean and safe sport.
Also present at the meeting were BOC Secretary General Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji and Ahmed Abdul Ghafar, BOC Executive Director of Operations.
