Kuwait City, Kuwait, May 13, 2025: The Asian Sports Federation was inaugurated in Kuwait on Sunday, May 11, under the auspices of the Olympic Council of Asia.
A total of 30 Asian Federations came together under one umbrella in a significant move that will advance the sports movement across the continent.
This meeting between the OCA and the Asian Federations took place on the fringes of the 45th OCA General Assembly. It marks a new chapter of collaboration aimed at reinforcing the development of sports in Asia and enhancing multi-sports games.
A number of initiatives were brought forward at the meeting aimed at boosting the future growth of sports across all OCA multi-sports games.
The 30 Asian Federations present at the Kuwait meeting were from: athletics, aquatic, basketball, boxing, canoe, climbing, equestrian, electronic sports, fencing, gymnastics, handball, hockey, jiu-jitsu, kabaddi, karate, modern pentathlon, rowing, rugby, sailing, softball, sepak takraw, surfing, skating, shooting, table tennis, triathlon, volleyball, wushu, weightlifting and wrestling.
