Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, May 7, 2025: IOC Member Battushig Batbold believes the “spirit of unity and excellence” will lead to a successful Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan in 2026.

Battushig, who is President of the Mongolia National Olympic Committee, was a member of the OCA Coordination Committee for their third meeting with the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee (AINAGOC) in Nagoya on May 1-2.

The first day was taken up by presentations from various AINAGOC departments, and the second day involved venue tours, notably to the Athletes’ Plaza at Garden Pier in the Port of Nagoya.

“Honored to attend the 3rd OCA–AINAGOC Coordination Committee Meeting in Nagoya, as an Executive Board Member of the Olympic Council of Asia and a member of the Coordination Committee for the 2026 Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya,” Battushig posted on his Facebook account after the conclusion of the two-day gathering.

“It’s inspiring to witness the progress and passion behind Asia’s next great sporting celebration. A heartfelt thank you to the AINAGOC team for your warm hospitality and dedicated preparations — the spirit of unity and excellence is truly alive in Aichi-Nagoya.”

The words of the Mongolia NOC President summed up the positive spirit and determination of both sides to work together for the success of the 20th Asian Games, which will take place from September 19 to October 4, 2026 with 41 sports, 66 disciplines and 456 events.
