Amman, Jordan, April 30, 2025: HRH Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee and IOC Executive Board Member, welcomed a delegation from the ‘Hope and Dreams Festival’ on Tuesday, April 29.
The visiting delegation was led by Dr. Chungwon Choue, President of World Taekwondo, Leonz Eder, President of the International University Sports Federation, and Riccardo Fraccari, President of the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
Prince Feisal welcoming the delegation expressed his appreciation and pride in this festival, which seeks to promote the importance of sports in the lives of youth in refugee camps.
The JOC President also emphasised the significant role played by the Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation in using sports as a tool for community development and fostering hope among refugees.
Dr. Choue noted: “The Hope and Dreams Festival has become one of the most important annual events for World Taekwondo and the Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation, and we are proud of its evolution into a multi-sport festival that inspires refugees and youth.
The third edition of the Hope and Dreams Sports Festival will be held in Jordan from April 30 to May 3. It will give athletes from refugee camps the opportunity to compete in five sports – basketball, baseball, badminton, handball and taekwondo.
