Almaty, Kazakhstan, April 27, 2025: The General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan elected a new Executive Committee and approved new members on April 23.
The General Assembly was attended by NOC President Gennadiy Golovkin, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Serik Zharassbayev, NOC Secretary General Alimzhan Akayev and representatives of national sports federations.
Due to changes in leadership of several sports organisations, a decision was made to revise and update the composition of the Executive Committee to enhance its efficiency and activity.
The new Executive Committee is:
Vice Presidents – Serik Zharassbayev (VP for Regional Affairs), Skakhmurat Mutalip (VP for International Cooperation, President of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation), Daniyar Abulgazin (VP for Summer Olympic Sports, President of the Kazakhstan Table Tennis Federation), Saken Mussaibekov (VP for Winter Olympic Sports, Director General of the Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federation), Gaji Gajiyev (VP for General Affairs, President of the Weightlifting Federation).
Olga Rypakova, President of the Kazakhstan Athletics Federation, is the Athletes’ Commission representative on the Executive Committee. There are also eight representatives of national federations on the Exco.
The General Assembly also approved the inclusion of the Kazakhstan Figure Skating Union as a member of the NOC. The Kazakhstan Luge Federation was dropped from the membership due to a lack of activity.
