Bangkok, Thailand, April 25, 2025: The Southeast Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organisation (SEARADO) has been busy building up the knowledge and expertise of its members in the region.
With almost all SEARADO member countries having an established testing team within their National Anti-Doping Organisation, SEARADO organised a Sample Collection Personnel (SCP) Train-The-Trainer Course with the support of the Doping Control Agency of Thailand (DCAT) on April 23-23 in Bangkok.
A total of nine participants from member countries were trained to be SCP Trainers.
“SEARADO congratulates all participants for their active participation throughout the course and wish them all the best as SCP Trainers,” SEARADO said.
The start of a busy schedule of Clean Sport activities had begun on April 22 with the SEARADO Trainer Re-accreditation Workshop with the support of DCAT.
The trainers were given an insight into the upcoming changes to the International Standards of Testing (IST) and re-accreditation approaches from the Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA) and China Anti-Doping Agency (CHINADA).
SEARADO was assisted by Ms. Chika Hirai from JADA and Mr. Zhou Weicheng from CHINADA.
The trainers were Ms. Nazima Kassim, Mr. Thassana Trairat, Ms. Evelyn Tan, Ms. Irene Tan and Ms. Men Thi.
Since 2014, these SEARADO SCP Trainers have been trained to conduct Doping Control Officer (DCO) courses, DCO re-accreditation courses, Blood Collection Officers (BCO) courses and BCO re-accreditation courses.
