Jerusalem, Palestine, April 22, 2025: The Palestine Olympic Committee reports that Diala Shaheen, representing the Palestinian Anti-Doping Committee, participated in the Global Anti-Doping Intelligence and Investigation Network held in Saudi Arabia.
The five-day workshop saw the participation of 43 experts from 13 countries, representing national anti-doping committees and law enforcement agencies, to enhance their knowledge in the field of anti-doping investigation.
The workshop discussed key topics in the field of investigations and inquiries, with the aim of strengthening vital partnerships and protecting the sports environment from the threat of doping.
The workshop was held as part of a project to build capacity and enhance anti-doping efforts in Asia and Oceania, organised by the Saudi Anti-Doping Committee and the Ministry of Sport, in partnership with INTERPOL and the New Zealand Sports Integrity Commission.
During the workshop, Shaheen reviewed the efforts of the Palestinian Anti-Doping Committee and its role in protecting Palestinian sport by conducting periodic tests and holding awareness workshops and seminars in cooperation with sports and educational institutions.
Shaheen thanked the workshop's organising committee, noting its important and valuable themes, which will enhance the role of national anti-doping committees by facilitating the exchange of ideas, experiences and expertise among experts and participants.
