Manama, Bahrain, April 16, 2025: The Bahrain Olympic Committee hosted the 1st Coordination Committee meeting of the 3rd Asian Youth Games at the Art Hotel and Resort in Amwaj Island, Muharraq Governorate on Tuesday, April 15.
The OCA Coordination Committee for the Bahrain AYG, chaired by Tayyab Ikram, President of the International Hockey Federation, met with the organising committee of the Asian Youth Games.
The Games will be hosted by Bahrain from October 22-31, 2025.
The meeting addressed the overall plan for the Games as well as reviewing the competition schedule and sports programme, the facilities for athletes and media, and visa requirements for athletes and officials from the 45 Asian National Olympic Committees who are expected to send teams.
The OCA team also included Deputy Director General Vinod Kumar Tiwari, Vice President Dr. Thani Abdulrahman Al Kuwari, HRH Prince Fahad Jalawi Al Saud, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, President of Nepal Olympic Committee, and Khalid Mahmood, Pakistan Olympic Association Secretary General, among others.
The Bahrain AYG Organising Committee team was led by BOC Secretary General Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji.
The Coordination Committee meeting will continue on April 16.
