Tehran, Iran, April 16, 2025: The National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian Ministry of Sports met with National Sports Federations to discuss participation at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain in October.
Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, President of Iran NOC, Dr. Mahdi Alinejad, NOC Secretary General, and senior managers of the Sports Ministry met with officials from the federations of martial arts, kabaddi, table tennis and weightlifting on Sunday, April 13 to discuss how to send a quality delegation to the Bahrain 2025 AYG.
The message which was stressed by the NOC was that this was a key event in the build-up to the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
Secretary General Alinejad also emphasised the need to conduct national team preparation tests at the National Olympic Academy’s monitoring centre and highlighted the importance of paying attention to anti-doping measures.
