Colombo, Sri Lanka, April 15, 2025: The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka celebrated its 88th anniversary during the 4th Executive Committee meeting held at the NOC Headquarters on Tuesday, April 8.
The Sri Lanka NOC was established on April 8, 1937 with Dr. V.R. Schokman as its first president and Mr. W.H.D. Perera as Secretary General.
The 88th anniversary celebrations were held under the auspices of current NOC President Suresh Subramaniam.
“Here’s to 88 years of dedication to Olympic values and the development of sport in Sri Lanka,” the NOC posted on its Facebook page.
