Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, April 13, 2025: His Royal Highness Prince Sufri Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council, visited the venue for the 2nd OCA Gender Equity Seminar on Sunday morning.
HRH Prince Sufri, who is an honorary Executive Board member of the Olympic Council of Asia, was accompanied by officials of the Brunei Darussalam NOC and also by the sports minister as they toured the tropical Empire Brunei hotel and resort on the coast of the South China Sea.
After collecting his accreditation card at the reception desk in the hotel lobby, HRH Prince Sufri and his team visited the ballroom that will host the two-day seminar on Monday and Tuesday, April 14-15. They also viewed the press conference room to promote the Asian Games Fun Run for Aichi-Nagoya 2026 on the afternoon of April 15.
HRH Prince Sufri said the upcoming OCA Gender Equity Seminar would be the biggest Olympic sports event held in Brunei, with the participation of 43 National Olympic Committees and almost 100 delegates. A total of 19 speakers, including panelists, moderators and presenters, will be involved over the two days.
Participants also received an invitation to the official dinner, hosted by HRH Prince Sufri, at Berkshire Hall, Royal Brunei Jerudong Polo Club, on Monday, April 14.
The theme of the seminar is “Watch Her Shine”, highlighting the qualities of “Strength, Hope, Inspiration, Next Generation, Empower”.
