Tashkent, Uzbekistan, April 9, 2025: The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Ministry of Sport at the NOC Headquarters in Tashkent on Tuesday, April 8 to review the progress of sport in the country.
In attendance at the meeting were Sports Minister Adham Ikramov, NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov and OCA Vice President Otabek Umarov.
Discussions revolved around the development of mass sports at all levels, the improvement of selection for national representation and a comprehensive look at sports facilities.
Special attention was also given to the training of athletes and further strengthening cooperation with national sports federations and regional organisations.
At the end of the meeting, recommendations and specific instructions were made regarding preparations for the "Olympic Peaks of New Uzbekistan Games".
