Dushanbe successfully hosts Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Fun Run and Art Competition

Dushanbe, Tajikistan, April 7, 2025: The second leg of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games Fun Run successfully concluded in Dushanbe Youth Water Park on Monday, April 7.

 

The run attracted more than 150 children from schools in the Tajik capital and they were joined by OCA/OS Regional Forum delegates from West Asia and Central Asia National Olympic Committees.

 

HE Zulfiqor Gulahmadzoda, Tajikistan Sport Minister and Vice President of the National Olympic Committee joined OCA Deputy Director General Vinod Kumar Tiwari and Edward Kensington, Olympic Solidarity Continental Manager for Asia in presenting medals to runners.

 

The Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games Fun Run is part of OCA’s Asian Games for All programme aim at promoting the quadrennial showpiece throughout the continent, and building healthy societies through sports.

 

The OCA’s Asian Games for All programme, also includes the Asian Games Youth Reporter and Asian Games Arts Competition.

 

Four young Tajikistan children – girls Amirova Oisha and Nozimzoda Omina and boys Berdiev Idrisjon and Pirov Jaloliddin - won the opportunity to display their paintings at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

 

The next 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Fun Run will be held in Bandar Seri Begawan - the capital of Brunei Darussalam - on April 15 2025 in conjunction with OCA Gender Equity Seminar.
