Dushanbe, Tajikistan, April 5, 2025: The second leg of the Olympic Council of Asia-Olympic Solidarity Regional Forum 2025 is ready to take place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, with delegates from 19 National Olympic Committees from West and Central Asia on April 6-7.
The OCA Sports for All Committee Chair and Tajikistan NOC Vice President, Mr. Dilshod Nazarov, and Secretary General Mr. Muhamadsho Abdullozoda greeted over 40 delegates at Dushanbe International Airport with a warm and colourful Tajikistan traditional welcome ceremony.
“We are happy to welcome all the regional forum delegates and we are ready to host this special event. We will do our utmost to make this forum a great success and let every delegates enjoy their stay in Dushanbe, Tajikistan,” said Mr. Nazarov, Olympic hammer throw champion in 2016.
The OCA, in coordination with the IOC’s Olympic Solidarity, conducted the regional forum for East, South and South East Asian NOCs in Bhutan on April 2-3, and the remaining 19 West and Central Asian NOCs will go through a jam-packed programme.
This will include presentations from the organisers of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, the Bahrain Asian Youth Games this October and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Riyadh 2026.
The second leg of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Fun Run and Asian Games Youth Reporter Project will also be held during the forum.
The Asian Games Children's Art Competition concluded on April 4 with the best four drawings selected by Tajikistan NOC.
