NOC focuses on Bahrain AYG at executive board meeting

Manila, Philippines, March 30, 2025: The Philippine Olympic Committee's Executive Board, led by President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, held its monthly meeting on March 27, focusing on pivotal developments in the national sporting landscape. 

 

Deliberations included crucial updates and planning for the World Games in Chengdu, China this August, the OCA’s 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain in October and the SEA Games in Thailand in December. 

 

The meeting also addressed the promising Scholars program for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, alongside important matters concerning the operational efficiency and growth of National Sports Associations.

 

“The valuable insights of Secretary General Atty. Wharton Chan, Treasurer Dr. Jose Raul Canlas (surfing), Auditor Donaldo Caringal (volleyball), Board members Leah Gonzales (fencing), Leonora Escollante (canoe-kayak), Alexander Sulit (judo), Ferdinand Agustin (jiu-jitsu) and Athletes Commission representative Jessie Lacuna contributed significantly to the day's proceedings,” the POC said.
