Nagoya, Japan, March 21, 2025: The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee (AINAGOC) held a volunteer recruitment and familiarization exercise on Wednesday, March 19.
The event took place at Nagoya City Nakamura Ward Office and included a conference covering an overview of the 20th Asian Games and 5th Asian Para Games in 2026, the upcoming schedule, group work and uniform measurements.
Volunteer recruitment is due to end on April 30, 2025, giving organisers ample time for general training and then for specific tasks at Games time such as accreditation and media.
The target for the 20th Asian Games from September 19-October 4 and 5th Asian Para Games from October 18-24 is 40,000 volunteers.
“Many people, young and old, attended and it was a meaningful time. Everyone was excited about the upcoming Games,” AINAGOC said.
