Nagoya, Japan, March 20, 2025: The second OCA IT Audit for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, in 2026 came to a conclusion on the afternoon of Thursday, March 20 at Aichi Arts Centre in Sakae, Nagoya city.

After two days of presentations from local organising committee AINAGOC, the OCA and Bornan Sports Technology, the complex IT solutions for the 20th Asian Games became much clearer for all parties moving forward.

A third IT Audit is set for September 2025 – one year ahead of the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya city, Aichi prefecture and other areas of Japan.

Wrapping up the two-day meeting, OCA IT auditor Alfonso Sanchez thanked the local organisers for their preparations and support, and appreciated the fact that the AINAGOC team had taken part in the second day of the meeting despite Thursday being a national holiday in Japan.

He praised the strong collaboration between Bornan and all the functional areas of the organising committee, especially with sports and venues, and highlighted the most important points going forward such as integration of the project and test events.

With 58 venues hosting 41 sports and 58 disciplines during the 20th Asian Games, which will run from September 19 to October 4, 2026, site visits will start from May to lay the foundations for the various IT components.

Also, Bornan will make a presentation at the Technical Delegates Meeting in Nagoya at the end of April, further strengthening collaboration between key stakeholders.

“The success of this project is as important for OCA as it is for AINAGOC, and we will support you in any way we can,” added Mr. Sanchez.

“It has been a very fruitful discussion and it’s a pleasure working with you.”

The second day’s agenda included the organisation chart of AINAGOC, staffing plan during the Games operation period, the master plan, the IT and Telecommunications project, roles and responsibilities and risk management.
