Nagoya, Japan, March 19, 2025: The Olympic Council of Asia began the second IT Audit with the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
The OCA IT audit team, which included the OCA IT system engineer Anil Reddy, was joined by representatives of Bornan Sports Technology on the first day of the two-day audit to assess the progress of preparations in various fields connected to IT.
The agenda focused on timelines, telecommunications, service providers and, most importantly, the integration of the various IT solutions as part of the Asian Games IT master plan.
Other topics included broadcast and media, IT integration at the 58 competition venues, test events and OCA requirements. Of the 58 competition venues, four will be new and 18 extensively renovated, with all the work finishing by March 2026 – six months before the start of the 20th Asian Games on September 19, 2026.
The meeting was held at Aichi Arts Centre and will continue on Thursday.
AINAGOC Deputy Director General Naoki Matsumoto welcomed the OCA IT auditors and Bornan Sports Technology to Nagoya for the second IT Audit, one year after the first meeting.
“We are meeting again for the first time since March 2024 when AINAGOC received much valuable advice from the audit team,” he said.
Mr. Matsumoto added that the organising committee’s technical team would be strengthened with the appointment of 15 international experts from the beginning of the new financial year on April 1 through to June.
“There is just one and a half years remaining to the opening ceremony and we acknowledge the necessity to accelerate our preparations. We look forward to your support and guidance as one team,” he said.
