Lausanne, Switzerland, March 16, 2025: IOC President Thomas Bach welcomed a delegation from the NOC of Palestine, led by its President, Jibril Rajoub, at Olympic House in Lausanne earlier this month.
During the meeting, they discussed the participation of Palestinian athletes in the Olympic Games Paris 2024 and the current difficult situation facing the Palestinian Olympic community in Gaza.
The IOC President confirmed that the IOC would provide additional humanitarian support to the Palestinian Olympic community.
Among the delegation was Olympian swimmer and OCA Gender Equity Chair Valerie Tarazi, who competed at the Olympic Games Paris 2024. The IOC helped in her preparation and qualification through Olympic Solidarity. While at Olympic House, she signed the Olympians Wall.
