Thimphu, Bhutan, March 7, 2025: The Bhutan Olympic Committee is celebrating International Women’s Day ahead of March 8 with a tribute to their own special women in sport.
The BOC Facebook post features seven women all symbolizing a different value or quality – empowerment, strength, resilience, equality, inspiration, boldness and unbreakable.
“Today, we celebrate not only the remarkable athletes who shine on the field but also the unsung heroes behind the scenes—the women who work tirelessly in the back office, supporting, organizing and ensuring everything runs smoothly,” the BOC said.
“Your dedication, passion and resilience fuel the dreams of athletes and contribute to the success of our Olympic movement.”
The message concluded: “We salute each one of you, whether you're competing, managing or helping to bring the vision of the Bhutan Olympic Committee to life. You are all warriors in your own right, breaking barriers and setting new standards of excellence.
“To all the women who make a difference every single day—we honor you, we thank you and we salute you!”
