Tehran, Iran, March 2, 2025: Dr. Mahdi Alinejad has been elected Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The President of Iran NOC, Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, proposed Dr. Alinejad to the position of Secretary General and this was approved at the 47th Executive Board meeting last week.
Dr. Alinejad previously held the position of Deputy Minister of Championship and Professional Sports Development of the Iranian Sports and Youth Ministry preceded by being President of the Iranian Wushu Federation and Vice President of the Asian Wushu Federation.
