AINAGOC hosts ceremony for Asian Games Ambassadors

Nagoya, Japan, February 27, 2025: The commissioning ceremony of Official Ambassadors for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 took place on Wednesday, February 26.

 

The ceremony was held at the Aichi Prefectural Government Building in Nagoya and involved Masaya Kimura, representing J-Pop boy band INI, comedian Kayoko Okubo, veteran actor Ken Matsudaira and model/actress/singer Emi Takei, who sent a video message.

 

The Ambassadors were announced last week and the induction ceremony on Wednesday involved them receiving the official certification and their pledge to work hard for the promotion and success of the 20th Asian Games, which will run from September 19 to October 4, 2026.

 

Organising committee AINAGOC said: “Together with our official ambassadors, we will make the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 even more exciting.”

 

The VIP guests included Hideaki Ohmura, Governor of Aichi Prefecture and President of AINAGOC, and AINAGOC Secretary General Satoshi Murate.
