Dhaka, Bangladesh, February 25, 2025: The President of the Bangladesh Olympic Association and current Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the BOA Marathon 2024.
The Bangladesh Olympic Association in collaboration with the Bangladesh Army organised the BOA Marathon in the capital Dhaka, which attracted more than 5,000 participants, including students, youth, veterans and people from all walks of life, all keen in adopting a healthy and active lifestyle.
BOA Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza officiated as Chief Guest at the start of the marathon.
This initiative of the BOA contributed to growth and public engagement, and also created a community of running enthusiasts eager to participate in future marathons and the BOA hopes the momentum generated by this event will help in promoting two planned marathons in 2025. The BOA Marathon took place on December 20, 2024.
