Ramallah, Palestine, February 24, 2025: The Palestine Olympic Committee has requested national sports federations to nominate athletes for the Olympic Solidarity scholarship programme.
A total of 12 national federations have been asked to send in nominations. The sports are: athletics, boxing, cycling, equestrian, gymnastics, judo, swimming, shooting, taekwondo, triathlon, weightlifting and wrestling.
The POC has stated that four slots are available for athletes in the current cycle of the Olympic Solidarity programme.
The programme aims to sponsor and support promising athletes from national teams, so that they can hone their skills to qualify for the Olympic Games.
The deadline for federations to send in nominations is Thursday, February 27.
