Astana, Kazakhstan, February 23, 2025: With the support of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, Yenlik Ultarakova has been accepted as one of 25 participants into the prestigious IOC Young Leaders programme.
The IOC programme is a four-year international initiative that offers financial, education and expert support to young leaders from around the world using sport to address social challenges.
NOC Kazakhstan provided comprehensive assistance with the application process, interview arrangements and documentation, enabling Yenlik to join the programme.
A Master’s student at Nazarbayev University and a specialist in sports medicine, Yenlik developed a project aimed at engaging Kazakh youth from the ages 14-21 in sport and health awareness. Her programme features educational modules, classes and an online platform offering valuable resources.
Her concept aligns with the NOC’s priorities of fostering a healthy lifestyle and cultivating a vibrant sports culture among young people.
Through the IOC Young Leaders programme, Yenlik will receive a financial grant to implement her project, as well as access to international educational seminars and networking opportunities.
