OCA HQ hotel accreditation team play their part in Harbin 2025 success

Harbin, China, February 15, 2025: The smooth running of a major multi-sport games depends on the work and dedication of various groups behind the scenes.

One such group at the Harbin 2025 Asian Winter Games is the accreditation team in the OCA HQ hotel, the Shangri-La Harbin.

Led by Adnan Kabri, from the OCA’s IT Support, the accreditation team has been comprised of 21 people, with 16 volunteers and five office staff.

“We served the OCA family and made cards for more than 600 participants, including the presidents of the National Olympic Committees,” said Adnan.

“The cards we have issued from the Shangri-La Harbin hotel have been given to leaders and staff of the OCA, International Federations, Asian Federations, VIP guests invited by the OCA or by the HAWGOC organising committee, and high-level executives of the NOCs.”

The accreditation centre opened on February 4 – three days before the opening ceremony of the 9th AWG – and closed on February 14, the day of the closing ceremony.

“We have been open from 8am to 10pm every day to serve the needs of the participants, and the OCA would like to thank all our team members for their hard work and dedication to look after everyone to the best of our capabilities,” Adnan added.

“We made most of the cards before the Shangri-La Harbin accreditation centre opened and were able to present the cards immediately to the participants. However, we had to process some new accreditations and this could be as many as 10 cards per day.

“Everything has gone quite smoothly and I would like to say ‘thank you’ for the good cooperation between each department.”

The accreditation cards were issued for:

OCA - 181

OCA VIP Guests - 273

International Federations - 17
