Tehran, Iran, March 30, 2020: Iranian sport is mourning the loss of former national team weightlifter Daniel Gevargiznejad.
Gevargiznejad died on Friday, March 27 at the age of 79, reports the Tehran Times.
The weightlifter won a silver medal at 75kg at the 6th Asian Games in Bangkok in 1970; he also participated in the middleweight division at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.
