Hong Kong, China, February 3, 2025: The opening ceremony of the Harbin 2025 Asian Winter Games will take place on Friday, February 7. Athletes, coaches and medical teams of the Hong Kong, China delegation are setting off one after another for Harbin.
The men's and women's ice hockey teams will be among the first to compete in group stage events on Monday, February 3.
Mr. Kenneth Fok, Vice President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) and Chef de Mission of the delegation to Harbin, said: "It is meaningful to see Hong Kong athletes taking part in Asia's largest multi-winter sports event and to compete with other high-level contestants in Harbin, the city renowned for ice and snow in our country.
“I am looking forward to seeing them showcase their passion and perform their best at the ice and snow arenas. I call on everyone to join me to cheer for Team Hong Kong, China."
The Harbin 2025 AWG will be held from February 7-14 featuring 64 medal events across 11 disciplines in six sports.
Hong Kong, China is sending a delegation of over 100 people to compete in events across six disciplines.
SF&OC will publish the latest news and competition results of the delegation on various platforms. A thematic website has also been launched. Members of the public are invited to keep abreast of the news about Team Hong Kong, China and root for the athletes:
