CTOC to send record delegation to Harbin 2025

Taipei, January 29, 2025: A flag presentation ceremony for the Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee delegation taking part in the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China from February 7-14 was held in Taipei City.

 

The flag presentation ceremony was organised by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the CTOC.

 

The Deputy Minister of Education, Chang Liao Wan-chien, presented the flag to Lin Hong-Dow, head of the delegation and CTOC President. 

 

A record-breaking 67 athletes will compete in this ninth edition of the AWG, reflecting the support for winter sports and the aim of competing in the Olympic Winter Games in Milan Cortina 2026.

 

The deputy minister thanked the athletes and their coaches for their rigorous training schedule and for their commitment over the Chinese New Year holidays. 

 

According to the Sports Administration, CTOC athletes will compete in Alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, ice hockey, speed skating and short-track speed skating. Chinese Taipei will debut in women’s curling and women’s ice hockey.
