Manama, Bahrain, January 27, 2025: On a busy day in Bahrain involving a senior OCA delegation, the logo for the 3rd Asian Youth Games was launched at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Manama on Sunday, January 26.
The launch ceremony was attended by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and HH Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, OCA Vice President for the 3rd AYG Bahrain 2025, as well as OCA leaders.
A celebration of youth, sports and unity, the event highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to hosting the AYG from October 22-30, 2025, welcoming 45 National Olympic Committees. The logo embodies Bahrain's culture, diversity and the spirit of Asia.
At the logo launch ceremony, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad expressed gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his patronage of the event, and also thanked His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for supporting sports development.
The BOC President commended the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, in promoting youth and sports, and highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to utilising sports to enhance unity and peace. His Highness thanked the Olympic Council of Asia for entrusting Bahrain with the Games.
A video showcased the Games' history and Bahrain’s cultural achievements. The logo combines Arabic script, Olympic colours and the OCA’s sun symbol, reflecting Bahrain’s identity and inclusivity.
Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, outlined the event, featuring 21 sports, 207 events, 15 venues and participants from the OCA’s 45 NOCs, with the opening ceremony at Bahrain National Stadium.
In a high-impact meeting earlier in the day, OCA leaders and key stakeholders came together in Bahrain to drive forward the vision and strategy for the AYG.
In attendance were HH Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa (OCA Vice President for the 3rd AYG Bahrain 2025), Mr. Timothy Fok Tsun Ting (OCA Vice President, East Asia), Dr. Mohamad Norza Zakaria (OCA Vice President, Southeast Asia), HRH Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck (OCA Vice President, South Asia), OCA Director General Dr. Husain Al Musallam, Mrs. Noura Aljasmi (OCA Executive Board Member, West Asia) and Mr. Faris Al-Kooheji (OCA EB Member and Media Committee Chair).
