Nagoya, Japan, January 22, 2025: The Athletes Committee of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee (AINAGOC) continued their promotional activities in local schools.

Two representatives from the Athletes Committee called in at Isshiki Nanbu Elementary School in Nishio City to talk about the 20th Asian Games and 5th Asian Para Games in 2026 and play their respective sports with the students.

The two athletes were former national women’s volleyball team captain and star middle blocker Erika Araki and wheelchair rugby player Hiroyuki Misaka. Araki was a member of the Japan team that won the bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games, beating Korea in the third-place playoff at London Earls Court.

It was the fourth such visit to local schools by the AINAGOC Athletes Committee and spread the Asian Games message and love of sport to the students.

“The children had a blast witnessing powerful plays from top athletes and the competition experience. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the joys of sports and the importance of a united society,” AINAGOC said.

“Thank you to all the children, teachers and Athlete Committee members who participated. We will continue to share the charm of sports in the future.”

The 20th Asian Games will take place from September 19 to October 4, 2026, with the 5th Asian Para Games following from October 18-24.
