Ramallah, Palestine, January 21, 2025: The Palestine Olympic Committee held a sports media workshop at the NOC headquarters on Sunday, January 19.
The workshop for senior journalists and media experts was held under the auspices of NOC President Major General Jibril Rajoub.
The goals of the workshop were: (a) building a national and professional media strategy; (b) strengthening the role of the media in presenting Palestinian sports locally and internationally; and (c) highlighting national identity and the role of sports in preserving Palestinian memory.
Maj. Gen. Rajoub pointed out that Palestinian sports constituted a purely national and unified model, which includes all segments of the Palestinian people.
He said this required the presence of a national media committed to these goals of unity and capable of raising awareness among the public of the importance of sports.
It was agreed to set up a committee to look into and draft a national media plan.
