Harbin, China, January 20, 2025: HAWGOC, the organising committee of the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China next month, has released the music video of the theme song for the opening ceremony.
The theme song, entitled “Light Up Asia”, is performed by the famous Chinese actor, singer and dancer Wang Yibo.
The music video was officially released on Saturday, January 18 and invites everyone to jointly experience the ice and snow friendship at the opening ceremony of the Asian Winter Games.
The 3 minute, 41 second video opens serenely with magnificent winter landscapes of snow-covered forests, mountains and villages and builds up the pace with action from winter sports such as snowboarding, ice hockey, curling, short track speed skating, freestyle skiing and figure skating.
The video ends with fireworks over the world-famous Harbin Ice and Snow World, now in its 26th season and this year with ice sculptures depicting the sports and other scenes at the Asian Winter Games.
The song includes the English words “Hello My Friend, Hello Asia” and “Hello Future, Beautiful Asia”.
The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, February 7 and the 9th AWG will run until Friday, February 14 with six sports, 11 disciplines and 64 events – with 32 ice events in Harbin and 32 snow events in Yabuli.
