Kuwait City, Kuwait, January 8, 2025: The Olympic Council of Asia is requesting National Olympic Committees to register participants for the upcoming OCA Gender Equity Seminar 2025 by the deadline of January 30.
The two-day seminar will be held on April 14-15 in Brunei Darussalam and NOCs can register two delegates – the Chair of the NOC Gender Equity Committee or Specific Point of Contact (SPOC), and the NOC Secretary General or Board member responsible for gender equity.
The OCA’s Gender Equity and Safeguarding Manager, Mrs. Sabine Fakhoury, said: “Gender equity is one of the most important topics within the Olympic Movement in general, and for the Olympic Council of Asia in particular.
“Our Gender Equity Seminar in Brunei Darussalam this April will build on the success of the first seminar in Bahrain in October 2022. It will provide lots of information, contacts and networking opportunities in order to keep the movement going forward and to further empower women and girls in sport at all levels.
“We can promise an interesting and interactive seminar for all participants over the two days, and we are looking forward to welcoming two participants from every National Olympic Committee in Asia.”
The seminar is being organised by the OCA and the OCA Gender Equity Committee in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee and Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council. An overview of the seminar including the agenda will be shared in due course.
The registration link and credentials have been sent in a separate email to the OCA’s 45 NOCs, and can be obtained through Mr. Anil Reddy at: anil@oca.asia.
