Nagoya, Japan, January 6, 2025: The organising committee of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 (AINAGOC) has launched the Asian Games authorised cultural programme.
The purpose of the programme is to promote the 20th Asian Games in Japan through a series of official cultural events.
AINAGOC is encouraging organisations to submit their ideas for cultural events in order to gain official recognition as part of the build-up to the Games, which will run from September 19 to October 4, 2026.
“The Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Authorised Cultural Programme is a system in which the organising committee certifies events conducted by an organisation that deliver the attractions of history, culture, art, nature and industry, among others,” AINAGOC said.
“Certified businesses will be able to use the name and mark of 'Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Authorised Cultural Programme' and will be able to disseminate information about their business and activities on the official AINAGOC website.”
AINAGOC added that the 2026 Asian Games was an opportunity to showcase the attractions, culture and history of Nagoya city and Aichi prefecture, and that the authorised cultural programme would encourage many local organisations to join the celebration and help build momentum for the Games.
“Your events will support the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games! Let's join the programme and build up the excitement together,” AINAGOC said.
