Iraq NOC officials complete ITA anti-doping training programme

Baghdad, Iraq, January 6, 2025: Two officials of the Iraq National Olympic Committee, Haitham Hashim and Ahmad Khamat, have successfully completed the International Doping Control Officer Training Programme run by the International Testing Agency.

 

Hashim and Khamat, both members of the Iraq NOC anti-doping committee, received certificates from the ITA which will now allow them to officiate as doping control officers at international tournaments.

 

Iraq NOC Secretary General Haitham Abdul Hamid said: “The Iraqi National Olympic Committee takes anti-doping measures seriously.

 

"NOC President Dr Aqeel Muften and members of the executive committee follow the work of the anti-doping committee with great interest.”

 

Iraq NOC has stated its intentions of creating a doping-free environment for its athletes.
