Jordan NOC meets with Members of House of Representatives

Amman, Jordan, December 31, 2024: Jordan's House of Representatives has underlined its full support to the Jordan Olympic Committee in a meeting between the two bodies on Monday, December 30.

 

The Youth, Sports and Culture Committee in the House of Representatives - led by Muhammad Hadeeb with Speaker of the House Ahmed Al-Safadi - met with Jordan NOC Secretary General Rana Al-Saeed.

 

The Speaker, Al-Safadi, praised the effort of the Jordan Olympic Committee and the achievements under the leadership of the President, HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein.

 

The Speaker stressed the government would follow up on all observations and suggestions made by the NOC in a way that serves the sports process and supports the sports sector in general.

 

The Head of the Youth, Sports and Culture Committee Muhammad Hadeeb stressed the importance of supporting sports federations through the NOC and providing the necessary requirement to advance this vital sector. 

 

Hadeeb also noted the necessity of providing financial support to the NOC. He also lauded the Kingdom’s male and female heroes who have won medals and said he would work on ways to honour them with various forms of support.

 

In turn, NOC Secretary General Rana Al-Saeed pointed out the importance of the existing partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

 

She reviewed the outcome of the work of the NOC in 2024, and also touched on prominent programmes and projects in the future aimed at advancing sports in the Kingdom.

 

Al-Saeed praised the interest shown by the Youth, Sports and Culture Committee in the House of Representatives towards developing the work of the NOC and enhancing its role at the professional and societal levels.
