Tashkent, Uzbekistan, December 31, 2024: The Uzbekistan National Olympic Committee reported a feel-good story on its website on the last day of 2024, writing that old sports veterans of the country have not been forgotten and were visited and given holiday gifts.

The Council of Sports Veterans of Uzbekistan has established a good tradition before the year ends.

This year, too, the council - led by Chairman Bakhodir Maksitov - checked on the status of veterans who have contributed to the development of sports in the country for many years and presented them with gifts.

The council received information from about 70 veterans who are living their lives in old age. They talked with them and presented souvenirs provided by sponsors. In addition, a festive meal was prepared for a group of veterans and their families were also given a treat.

The Uzbekistan NOC concluded that sports enthusiasts all over the country were pleased with the attention given and care shown to all sports veterans and prayed for the peace of the country, the prosperity of the people and the health of the President of the nation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is also the NOC President.
