Jeevan Ram Shrestha re-elected President of Nepal Olympic Committee

Kathmandu, Nepal, December 30, 2024: Jeevan Ram Shrestha was re-elected President of the Nepal Olympic Committee on Saturday, December 28.

 

It will be his third consecutive term.

 

The election was held solely for the position of President among the 19 members of the Executive Committee. Prior to this, all other EB positions were elected unopposed.

 

These positions included seven vice presidents: Ms. Jyoti Rana, Chaturananda Rajvaidya, Ashok Ratna Bajracharya, Gopal Sundar Lal Kakshapati, Prakash Shamsher Rana, Dawa Gurung and Anil Prasad Sharma.

 

The others on the EB are: Rajiv Shrestha, Secretary General; Tasi Ghale, Treasurer; Ramji Bahadur Shrestha, Deputy Secretary General; Bhim Singh Gurung, Ram Krishna Shrestha and Ramesh Prasad Shiwakoti, Secretaries; and Members Ram Awale, Ms. Geeta Rana, Lakhpa Tsering Lama, Jitendra Bahadur Chand and Manish Joshi.

 

The NOC expressed its gratitude to the National Sports Federations, all employees, the technical team, and the media who supported the election process of the Nepal Olympic Committee.
