Astana, Kazakhstan, December 23, 2024: The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, met with Gennadiy Golovkin, President of Kazakhstan NOC, and Kit McConnell, IOC Sports Director.
The meeting focused on the prospects for further collaboration between Kazakhstan NOC and IOC across various areas.
President Tokayev emphasised the IOC’s vital role in promoting Olympic values and supporting athletes globally.
He reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to continued cooperation with the IOC to advance the nation’s sports sector and bolster international ties.
In turn, Kit McConnell expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and commended Kazakhstan’s active role in promoting the Olympic Movement. He also wished Kazakhstan’s national team further success in upcoming competitions.
