Nagoya, Japan, December 22, 2024: The 20th Asian Games in Japan in 2026 have been given a “lift” in Anjo City, Aichi Prefecture.

One of the local government initiatives to promote the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya has seen the elevators at Anjo City Hall decorated with the core graphics of the Games.

And what better way to mark the occasion than an appearance by the popular mascot Honohon.

Anjo City has been tentatively decided as a modern pentathlon and softball competition venue for the 20th Asian Games, which will run from September 19 to October 4, 2026. The venues will be Anjo Athletics Ground and Anjo Softball Ground.

“The local government is also moving forward with the excitement of the Games. HONOHON looks happy,” said a social media post.
