Kuwait City, Kuwait, December 18, 2024: The Olympic Council of Asia has announced that three court cases filed in Lausanne, Switzerland against the OCA have been dismissed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
In a circular dated December 17, 2024 the OCA informed all the stake holders that the “The Three court cases No. 10232, 10233 and 10129 filed in Lausanne by Sheikh Talal Al-Fahad, Genl. Souhail Khoury and Genl. Mowaffak Jomaa against OCA have been dismissed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
“In relation to Case No. 10232, the decision of CAS is as follows: The appeal lodged by Sheikh Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on 13 December 2023 against the Olympic Council of Asia regarding the Executive Board meeting of 22 November 2023 and any decision resulting from it is inadmissible.
“In relation to Case No. 10233, the decision of CAS is as follows: The appeal lodged by Sheikh Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on 13 December 2023 against the Olympic Council of Asia regarding the General Assembly decision of 28 November 2023 is inadmissible.
“In relation to Case No. 10129, the decision of CAS is as follows: The procedure CAS 2023/A/10129 General Souhail Khoury and General Mowafak Jomaa v. Olympic Council of Asia is terminated and removed from the CAS roll.
“The court fees for all the three cases will be paid by Sheikh Talal Al-Sabah, Genl. Khoury and Genl. Jomaa.”
