Nepal NOC President officiates at GEMS Thunderbolts Cup 2024 opening ceremony

Kathmandu, Nepal, December 18, 2024: The President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, officiated at the opening ceremony of the 2nd edition of the GEMS Thunderbolts Cup 2024 last Saturday, December 14.

 

More than 40 schools participated in 12 different sports of the GEMS Thunderbolts Cup. The sports are: archery, basketball, cricket, chess, football, futsal, judo, swimming, taekwondo, table tennis, tennis and volleyball. 

 

GEMS is an acronym formed by the combination of four gemstones, Garnet, Emerald, Moonstones and Sapphire and is the name given to the four houses of GEMS School. Students are expected to possess the qualities of these gems in form as well as essence.
