Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, December 16, 2024: The Malaysia Lawn Bowls Federation organised its annual President’s Cup Championship, which aimed to promote the sport of lawn bowls while strengthening the collaboration of the federation with its stakeholders, sponsors and the media.
As part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the lawn bowls federation, the President’s Cup 2024 was held on Sunday, December 15 at the Lawn Bowls Arena, Bukit Kiara Sports Complex, Kuala Lumpur.
The championship was jointly officiated by Datuk Awalan Abdul Aziz, President of MLBF, and Mr. Abd Aziz Abd Rahman, Deputy Director General of the National Department of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia.
The National Sports Council team, last year’s runner-up, emerged victorious this year by defeating the Malaysia Civil Defence Force team in the final. Media Prima/TV3 finished third and Sime Darby Guthrie fourth.
The OCM team, comprising four staff members, namely Mr. Fong Wan Hor, Mr. Izzat Danial Su Azlan Su and Mr. Roslan Zainol and supported by national lawn bowls player Mr. Mohamad Fadley Abd Jabal, finished 10th.
