Wedding bells for India’s star shuttler PV Sindhu

New Delhi, India, December 5, 2024: It will be wedding bells for India’s badminton star PV Sindhu. 

The double Olympic medallist, 29, is all set to begin a new chapter in her life on December 22 when she weds Hyderabad-based Venkata Datta Sai, Executive Director of Posidex Technologies, in Udaipur.

“Yeah, I think, it is all over social media. Yes, I am getting married on the 22nd,” Sindhu told ANI news agency.

Sindhu, one of India’s most celebrated athletes, boasts an enviable career. She has five World Championships medals to her name, including a historic gold in 2019. 

Her Olympic success includes a silver medal at Rio 2016 and a bronze at Tokyo 2020. She also won a silver medal in the women’s singles at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, and a team bronze medal at 2014 Incheon. In 2017, she reached her career-best world ranking of No.2.

Sindhu’s achievements have cemented her status as a prominent figure in badminton, inspiring countless young athletes in India and around the world.
