Male, Maldives, December 3, 2024: The Maldives Olympic Committee is partnering with the Bank of Maldives to offer its Sports Scholarship Programme for the second consecutive year.
The Maldives NOC said in a statement that the Bank’s continued involvement underlines its dedication to helping top national athletes achieve their full potential through specialised training initiatives.
The NOC will oversee the selection of athletes, and member federations and associations can nominate suitable candidates. This fully funded scholarship offers athletes the chance to train at globally renowned high-performance centres.
In the programme’s first year, seven athletes from four different sports completed their training successfully, signifying a major step forward in nurturing elite talent in the Maldives.
